The first project that Brownsville Think Tank Matters sponsored in conjunction with Professor Greg Donaldson, and in partnership with the City University of New York (CUNY), is:
- Public Speaking for Social Justice, a ten-week after-school program that teaches a diverse population of high-school-age students how to identify social justice issues that are important to their communities; how to research those issues; how to organize their information into discreet and cogent points; and how to deliver their messages effectively in a public forum.
We meet at The Church of Gethsemane and as an Ruling Elder we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to come and talk a little more about your organization. Our Support Group meets on the Second and Fourth Sunday of each month.

Thanks, Rico. We really appreciate you being there last night and what you do for our young people, and we look forward to working with you and your organization in the very future. We do have some students/participants who live in the Van Dyke and Brownsville houses. I’ll check to see if any of them need a job and get back to you. Thanks a million.
